Trey Meets the Muppets

Today Trey and I headed up to north Atlanta to meet up with our friend Jym Davis and visit the Atlanta History Center. The Center has a traveling Smithsonian exhibit of Jim Henson’s Fantastic World. With Trey (and my) love of the Muppets and Sesame Street I figured it was something he would get a kick out of.

Trey really enjoyed the exhibit for all the displays with original puppets. He got to see Kermit the Frog, Rowlf the Dog, Bert & Ernie, and most importantly – the Mahna Mahn trio. There was a great kids section with puppets for the children to play with – Trey wouldn’t put the Ernie one down.

We checked out some of the Center’s other exhibits and walked through their gardens. I was surprised at how good their exhibit for the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta was (in fact, the exhibit may be better than those Olympics were). Our little athlete ran up and down the track and then stood on the gold medal podium.
