Uncle David Runs a Marathon

01-trey-david-marathon-6806

Last month Trey’s uncle David ran the Marine Corps Marathon and made it to the finish line! We really proud of him (and a bit jealous) and Trey made a special poster to cheer him on (from afar). Congrats, David! We couldn’t be prouder!

Scare that Poodle!

Trey's instructions on how to scare a poodleOur neighbors have two little poodle-ish dogs they let loose daily. The two like to come poop in our yard and then we step in it when we play outside. Trey posted this set of instructions on how to scare the poodles away.

First, try clapping. Then yelling. Then squirt them with a water gun. If all those fail, do all three.

Reading About Narnia

Reading the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe after supper

Trey is finally at the age to appreciate The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis (one of Mommy and Daddy’s favorite authors). We started with The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe. Trey loved the book. What an incredible story and a great conversation starter. On to The Horse and his Boy next!

Mommy & Trey visit Legoland Discovery Center (again)

While William was at Music Midtown in Atlanta (see his photos), Mommy and Trey wanted to have a special date. The zoo was first choice, but 100% chance of rain for the afternoon forced us to look for a drier plan B. Legoland Discovery Center was a fun alternative. We had a great time shooting lasers at bad guys, strolling through the Atlanta mini-land, watching the “4-D” movies and playing in the giant playground. We had some quality time together and will be looking forward to a sunny day at the zoo sometime in the near future.

Fun on Lake Collins

When we moved to Cordele, Mommy’s colleague Kristin moved back to her hometown of Americus – just 40 minutes away! We finally got to go see her and her family, Trey’s friend Lainey and her little brother Hunter. Lainey’s grandparents live on Lake Collins. We had a great time playing in the water.  After the adults took turns riding the jetski, Trey and Daddy took it for a spin. Trey was a little apprehensive at first, but then he realized it was lots of fun! Hopefully, we will get to see them again soon.

Party Number 7

It’s that time again. The annual time of year where we look at our little guy and realize he’s now a little big bigger of a little guy.

With our recent move to Cordele (literally two days prior) we had his party at Monkey Joe’s in Warner Robins so that he could be reunited with his Macon friends that he hadn’t seen since we left for Ghana.

My parents had come down from Virginia with Philip and Heidi’s parents came up from Florida. Trey’s “bestest buddy” Causey and his classmates Lauren and Suri attended along with their siblings.
