It‘s more like Hollywood comes to Trey. Tomorrow, we are driving to Picket’s Mill Battlefield Historic Site to be extras in a movie called “Get Low“. Sounds cool… until  you find out that we have to be there at 5am… Which means we need to be up at 3am to head out the door. Oh, and did I mention the temperature will be in the 20s?

So what makes all that worth it? Here’s the cast list for the film: Robert Duvall (The Godfather), Bill Murray (Ground Hog’s Day), and Sissy Spacek (In the Bedroom). That’s two Oscar wins and a nomination right there! Plus the director Aaron Schneider is an Oscar winner as well and the screenplay was co-written by Chris Provenzano who has written for the TV show Mad Men.

The movie is a dark comedy based on the true story of a man who staged his own funeral so that he could attend it. Tomorrow they are filming the grand finale – the funeral scene. So if we don’t freeze to death, maybe we’ll get some face time on screen!
