A Pirate, His Mommy and Creatures of the Sea

Trey and I (Heidi) took a trip to Atlanta, just the two of us.  While making plans to go to the aquarium, I discovered that the day I had picked (September 24th) just happened to be “Pirate Day” – dress your kid like a pirate and he gets in free. I quickly created a little outfit complete with hook and eye patch. Trey helped decorate the pirate hat (with skeletons and aliens).

About as soon and we were inside with a free admission, Trey took the garb off. Oh well. We had  great time exploring the museum. He liked the large manta rays (that do back flips) and whale sharks the best. Once he had enough, we walked across the street to the Centennial Olympic Park. After running around on the playgrounds, Trey cooled off in the fountains. It was a great day spent with my little boy, my birthday present to myself.
