Trey Sees the Harlem Globetrotters

Last week I had the opportunity to photograph the Harlem Globetrotters for the Macon Centreplex where they were playing/performing. Since my aunt Jane and uncle David were in town visiting they joined Trey, Heidi, and me for the event.

I had never seen the group so I had no idea what to expect. It was a bit like a circus show – impressive sets where talented athletes demonstrated their skill with goofy antics and comedy sketches interspersed throughout.

Trey has had basically no exposure to competitive sports like basketball so a lot of the jokes involving the refs and rules of the game were completely over his head. He was most entertained by the players hanging on the rims after dunking and the fart jokes. Actually, he was most entertained by the anatomy book that Heidi checked out of the hospital library for him. He spent most of the game with his head buried in book and studying the complexities of the human body.
