On the north end of Amelia Island is the old downtown of Fernandina Beach. We went up there one afternoon this week after Trey’s nap and strolled around. There is a marina, lots of quaint shops, and train tracks leading to the port at the very end of the island.
We hung around so that I could try to get some sunset shots (I’m not very experienced with sunset photograph) and Trey got to see a couple dolphins swimming around (they proved to be even harder than the sunset to photograph!). The easiest thing to photograph at the marina turned out to be the pelicans. Those guys might as well be taking directions on how to pose and where to stand.
