The Lunch Box Museum

Years ago, Heidi and I went on a road trip out West and I relied on the website roadsideamerica.com to find all sorts of great stops along the way. The latest find I have to thank that website for is the Lunch Box Museum in Columbus, GA. This morning before heading to FDR State Park we swung by the museum.

The museum and its collection wasn’t quite as impressive as I expected. It is located in the back of a huge, dilapidated antique mall. We actually spent a lot more time wandering around the antique store (though it could probably be just classified as a thrift store). It was neat to see lunch boxes that brought back old memories – the Rambo lunch box for me and the Sesame Street lunch box for Heidi. Trey wasn’t too interested but did pick out the “Pyder-man” box.
