Today we walked down the road to a Methodist church that had a playground. We were surprised to find that it also had a Prayer Garden – one unlike any I’ve ever seen before. It seems that they hit up the local lawn ornament shop to pick out their statues for the prayer stops. There was a conquistador, a piggy bank pig, a book-end lion, a couple very fluffy sheep, Neptune, Hansel & Gretel, and several Jesus statues that had undergone heart transplants (those photos here). After kissing all the animals (and riding some) we headed over to the playground for some normal fun.
