Dauset Trails Nature Center

Heidi has the weekend off so we headed 30 miles north to Dauset Trails Nature Center. I found out about this place from a mountain bike trails website I’ve been using to find hiking places. This Nature Center is better than any of the state parks we’ve visited.Despite being privately owned it is very well maintained and it’s FREE!

They have some great hiking trails and a mini-zoo with beavers, otters, bears, bison, bald eagles, owls, foxes, bobcats, and more. Trey had a great time and we enjoyed the fresh air. It was overcast and kept things a bit cooler than it has been.

I’m posting photos of Trey below but you can see our photos of the park’s animals and natural beauty here.
