I have been holding out on joining facebook for the past year. I knew that if I joined, I would spend way too much time on the site…and less time for the things that needed to be done. Well, I finally gave in, since I do have the next 2 months off. William already thinks I’m addicted. Oh well. Over the years, there have been several friends that I lost track of, usually because life got too busy. I’ve thought about them, even googled their names, but didn’t know how to find them. Once I got onto facebook, I have finally found some of those people and am able to touch base, say hello, and celebrate the accomplishments in their lives. Karamin was one of those friends. We first met in junior high…and became the best of friends…until she had to transfer to another school during highschool. I found her on facebook, realized she lived in Tampa Bay now (she’d gone away for college) and asked her where exactly she lived. She sent me her address and my jaw dropped. Turns out she lives less than a mile from me and has for the past several years. The very next day, Trey and I walked over to her house to hang out with her for a while. Trey had a great time playing with her daughter, Dillan Grace who is 26 months. Karamin also has a 4 month-old daughter named Kenyan. Both are adorable. It was great to catch up with her. I just wish I had found her before I was about to pack up to move.

Now that I am out of school, I will be spending as much time with Trey as possible over the next two months. Today, I decided to get out of the house to let William get some work done. We went down to War Veterans Memorial Park in Bay Pines. I took Trey to see the old tank on display. When I was a kid, I used to go to this park all the time with my class (because it is only a couple miles from Keswick). We used to climb all over that tank. I think I even have a photo of me (or was it Kenny?) all the way at the end of the turret. I guess my generation ruined it for Trey’s. Now there is a fence around it. Sorry, Trey, no climbing on tanks for you!

We also went down to the water. When I think about moving, I realize how much I love the water. I don’t get out to the beach too often, but everywhere I go, I have to go over a bridge or next to the Gulf. I think that is why I am so excited about moving into a neighborhood in Macon that surrounds a giant lake. The water is so beautiful and calming.
At church Tyler Ross (far-right in photo to left) stole my camera for a while and took some photos of folks. This means you actually get to see a photo of all three of us together (a rare occurrence because I’m usually behind the lens). Thanks Tyler!
We all went to Boca Ciega Park today to celebrate Ava Ross‘ first birthday! Trey really enjoyed running around and playing with the other kids. He was very excited about Ava opening the present he brought for her.
