This morning I took Trey to the our little town’s annual Pow-Wow Festival. We arrived in time to see the tail end of the parade, but at least the firetrucks were at the end. Most of the parade seemed to be one long line of advertisements for local businesses, anyway. We walked around all the carnival rides. I wondered how I ever liked riding those contraptions when now just a drive on a winding mountain road makes me sick. Trey seemed enthralled with all the colors and lights, and was a bit upset that he didn’t quite measure up to the 36″ required for riding. We actually spent most of the time at the recreation center’s playground, running, climbing and sliding. It was a fun little outing for mommy and Trey.
Sometimes when I come home from work early I find this in the bedroom:

I’m still taking pictures for the church directory so I went down Wednesday morning to attend the chapel service they have with the preschool kids. Trey came along of course and had a good time. He was very impressed by all the “big kids” (2-5 year olds). Jon Perry pulled out a puppet for him too and he got a kick out of that. Then, after chapel we let him have a go at the drums (lately he has been drumming a lot at home).
This past weekend Heidi’s parents had Trey spend the night at their place and then they took him to Busch Gardens in Tampa the next day. The park has lots of rides but more importantly (for Trey) it has lots of animals. Trey is still in his “animal phase” (though he is slowly transitioning to fire engines and trucks) so he had a blast seeing the live animals and telling them the sounds they should be making. Click below for images Heidi’s parents took of their time at the park:

I was taking photos around church today for our upcoming church directory. I’d go from room to room and get some candid shots of the folks interacting inside.
When I came to the nursery I had the dilemma of shooting Trey’s room. If he saw me he would want me to stay and play. I figured I’d pop my head around the corner and snap the picture without him noticing. There is the image to the right. Hmm… you think he spotted me?
