We heard a horror story from one of our friends of finding her son (he’s close to Trey’s age) unconscious on the floor outside his crib and we decided Trey needed to upgrade to a toddler bed. With his love of climbing we were sure he’d start scaling the heights of the crib’s sides.
So last night we headed over to Toys’r'Us and bought a bed. Kenny helped me piece it together and the first thing Trey did was climb on it and do a dance. Guess he likes it!
We haven’t really been working with Trey much in the area of potty training. Mainly because we’ve been traveling so much recently. Heidi did put his potty in the bathroom and we showed him how to sit on it.
Recently he has started telling us “poo” and pointing to his diaper when he has filled it. Today he took the next steps and walked over to the potty when Heidi took his clothes off and he sat down and used it. Number 1 & 2! Hooray Trey!
Proving it wasn’t just a fluke, this evening before bed he walked into the bathroom, sat on the potty still clothed, and grunted and grinned. Sure enough he’d filled his diaper again. Next time give us a chance to take your diaper off Trey!
We took Trey to the zoo today with several friends from our Sunday School class. Trey had a blast since he is now really into animals and the sounds they make. Our good friend Tyler Ross brought his camera and took photos while I video’d. I’ve yet to edit my footage together but I have made a slideshow with Tyler’s photos. Thanks Tyler!
After nearly 4 months of traveling through West Africa and the Southeast USA, we’re back home! Horray!
