Thanks to Jym Davis for taking some of the photos.
We’re up in Tennessee introducing Trey to all sorts of whacky friends and family. He’s held up quite well considering the millions of photos that have been taken of him being held by all these strange new faces. We’ll be posting some photos up soon!

We’re hard at work on this year’s Haun Christmas Card so here is a little sneak peek:
Music by Sufjan Stevens from the album “The Avalanche”
Today, Trey is 3 months. I think that he was showing off when he rolled over at 2 months. I guess he decided that he has the skill, but doesn’t want to use it. He’s only rolled a couple times since, on his own. If I get his legs going while he is on his back, he’ll land propped up on his elbows. His motor skills are becoming more developed though. One night, while we were sitting on the couch, we looked down at him on his play gym—grabbing the toy bird and sucking on its feet. Since then, he’s been grabbing, holding, and pulling everything to his mouth. I bought him a picture/word book that he loves (or despises…). Every time we open it up, he gets excited and starts talking to the book. The longer we look at it, the more excited he gets. Its a great way to get him to talk for his great-grandparents on the phone. We’ll have to catch it on video some day.
He’s continued to let out little chuckles here and there, gradually becoming laughter. Last night while I was changing him into his pajamas, he let out a good belly laugh as my hand brushed against his armpit. I think I found his ticklish spot! At night, he’s been sleeping well. He goes to sleep around 7:30 or 8:00 (sometimes with more protest than others), I feed him again around 12:30 and then he wakes up talking to his mobile around 7:30 in the morning. Occasionally, he still wakes up around 5, but those awakenings are becoming more rare. For Thanksgiving we are traveling up to Tennessee to see William’s grandparents and family. Hopefully Trey will be able to handle the 10-12 hour trip. I know that Roger William Haun (the first) is excited to see his great grandson. (Grandma is excited too, of course.)
My mom’s brother David was in town to attend a training conference for his work and stopped in to meet Trey. Trey was quite fond of him.
