Everyone kept asking us today if we were taking Trey trick’or’treat’n. Quite frankly, unless the neighbors are giving out breast milk, I don’t think he would be too interested in asking for treats.
We still marked his first Halloween by dressing him up in jack-o-lantern pajamas and making him pose in a nearby pumpkin patch (much to his delight). All the big, juicy pumpkins had been sold already so in the photos he is laying among the mini-pumpkins which creates an odd perspective that makes him look 4x bigger than he actually is.
You will also see that Buster joined the fun and sported a Halloween costume that was meant for Trey but he can’t wear since he has already outgrown it. Continue reading ‘Baby’s First Halloween’
Yesterday at lunch, Trey was lying on his mat rolling onto his side like he has done since week 1. We stepped out of the room for a second. William walked back in to realize that Trey was now on his stomach but unhappy because he had pinned his arm underneath him. Today, Trey was on his belly, looking all around. He leaned back a little farther than expected…and ended up on his back! What a champ! Maybe I won’t help him with learning how to put the 2 rolls together yet. He’ll be rolling all over once he figures that out!
It’s here! Our chef-d’oeuvre of the pregnancy documentation. Nearly 1000 individual photos were taken to create the timelapse of Heidi’s belly growing. We dreamed of this before Heidi was even pregnant (in fact the first photos were taken days after conception before we knew she was pregnant, just in case) and way back in May I posted a sneak peek of what I was working on.
We had to really discipline ourselves to stay on track and not miss a photo session. Photos were taken each month during the first trimester, then every 2 weeks during the second, and finally every week during the third trimester. The nature timelapse in the video are from BBC nature documentaries. Eagle-eyed William video watchers will recognize some of the footage from the music video I edited for the band Commerce’s song “Endless Moving“.
